Re: Orlando Florida?Kev, skip the lakes, make the drive over to Tampa and ride the bay. The water is mid 80s and clear. Our windy season is still a few weeks off, but we should get some good wind before and after Ike passes by. The forecast shows Monday evening the 7th OK, and Tuesday the 8th looks to be nuking. I'm going to try to take Tuesday off. I'll PM you my number, give me a ring if you can make it and I'll give point you in the right diection.

Re: Orlando Florida?I'm not there yet but I'm looking into set up a trip for a couple kite buds and I this winter. Hey Bob, in your opinion what is the best month to go?
Re: Orlando Florida? We never get the set your watch by it kind of wind you guys get during the summer, but once the Bermuda high dissipates and we get the first couple cold fronts it blows frequently. My favorite time of year is mid Oct to mid Dec. The air starts to cool and the humidity is lower but the water is still warm. By late Dec I wear a shorty and late Jan a 2/3. When you see a strong cold front moving down the Eastern seaboard and it makes it to north Florida we get a nice steady 18 to 22 from the south. If the front makes it through it switches to cold some what gust northerly mid 20 to low 30s, great for long down winders along the coast
