Anything close to Big Sur?

Hey - I am going camping this week in Big Sur and was wondering if there was decent kiting close? I know Waddell is "the spot" on the coast, but its about 2hrs north of big sur.... thanks for any input, its much appreciated.

There are hundreds of beaches down there, and often plenty of wind, but it's remote and the nearest big towns have their good kiting spots much closer by(Waddell to the north and Pismo south). Do some exploring and let us know if you find a good spot.
