Best All around family spot

I have a trip planned to the bay area for two weeks starting Mid march. My wife is a non kiter, I have two dogs and a camperized van. I am looking to camp and keep my wife happily hiking etc. (while I am on the water) If anyone could help us with some locations near(est) San Fran, we would be very greatful. I promise to stay out of any locals way.

Camp down by Waddel or out at Dillon beach. Waddel has a compground just about 5 miles to the north and Dillon Beach has its own capmpground with hiking right there. Dillon beach is about 35 miles north and 25 miles west of SF.

Those would be your best options.
