Hi there, I'm wondering if anyone has any advice about kiting in Thailand? Where to go, is there anything I need to do beforehand (IKO license?), where to rent? How much to expect to pay for renting? I don't plan to bring my gear.
Any advice appreciated

Wondering the same thing. going early to mid march. thinking of bringing gear - but wondering if realistically it'll not be windy enough.

Hua Hin or PranBuri, there are places to rent gear although they only had Twin tips when I was there (3 years ago).
When I arrived at the Bangkok airport I saw a kiteboarder with gear and asked him where they kite at, he said Boracay, which is in the Philippines... So YMMV.

The most consistent place to go kiting in SEA is in Boracay, most other places are a hit or miss and you will probably miss more than you will hit.
