For people that want to RIDE!! SPI can't really be beat: wind all the time, massive flats and 10mile surf downwinders. Super easy logistics, and cheap. See you on the Island this Fall Winter Spring!

Hey, what are your reccommendations for camping?
I have a small trailer. Looking at December-January.

Thanks!

hi sorry i didnt check this for a while

camping: isla blanca park or andy bowie park for full hookups, showers etc. cameron county parks system

http://www.co.cameron.tx.us/parks/isla_blanca.htm

or KOA for a way nicer full hookups setup

off the grid (and the record):
you can camp anywhere on the side of the road north of town (a few miles N) its beautiful, no sketchy sand driving, etc. or on the flats n of town, or on the ocean beach n of town (from beach access 5 and up)

i recommend end of the road

pull into park once in a while for facilities, or rent a hotel room (travelodge, econo lodge, dozens of others, as low as 30/night) for a night for a break from the trailer.

great idea, should be a cool trip!
