Heading to Cozumel

Hey, I'm heading to Cozumel on May 22 to June 1. Any tips or info to share about down there. I want to bring my kite gear but dont know if its worth the hassle. I saw that some place down there will rent you gear for 150 a day, but you need to be IKO level 3 certified.(????) What about outher things to do down there? (scuba, snorkleing, ect...). Should we rent a car? Thanks
