I'm going to visit a friend there for a few days in 2 weeks, is it worth it to bring all my gears?
I'll be in campbell river. Any spots around there?
I'm thinking about bringing the snowboarding gears too, just in case.

If you're talking about the Campbell River on Vancouver Island, Tofino (on the West Coast) has excellent surf and could be unbelievable if there were wind. Here's a tidbit from: http://www.destinationkiteboarding.com/ ... rfing.html

Tofino Kitesurfing: KiteFacts
Best winds: September to November - March - May
Wind Conditions:15- 30knots gusty
Water Temp: Full 5/4 wetsuit or drysuit,
Water Type: Mostly Waves
Weather: Rain and snow
Nightlife: Mellow restaurants and bars.

Also, NitNat lake is up there:

Vancouver Island is one of my favorite places. It's feakin' beautiful up there...
