Well, up to this point I've kept quiet on this one.....thanks to all of you for your input. My personal take on is that it will not be brought to market,and that the current version is a great option for what I believe is it's intended purpose - to act as an assist to beginners/schools for those that wish to have added visibility, security and peace of mind when learning to drag back to one's board, and in preventing the unsafe practice of using some sort of leash. Nothing more, nothing less.

I can think of another purpose. I'm considering getting one for my jumping practice. If you get airborne and lose your board, you can end up pretty far away.
