The newest issue of iksurfmag.com is out, be sure to have a read. In it they review a number of 2009 kites and have this to say of the
2009 Rise
For the kiter who enjoys going big this is definitely a weapon they should consider.
Hands down this is the most agressive yank off the water we have had for a while.
One of the kites of 2009... if you don't try one you're missing out!

I'm a marketing guy so I love reading some good "spin". I must have missed the section of the article that calls it the "biggest jumping kite". I did read "biggest airs of the session..." implying, "of their test session" and not "out of all 2009 kites".
But like I said, nice spin. =D>
I have no doubt it's a great kite, in fact I really want to try one. But let's not get carried away throwing "est" out there.

the Rise is sick and it is, without a doubt, the most Canadianest kite on the market. It does jump pretty big with that nice C style load and pop.

Personally- "I feel" my RPM's are the FUN"EST" kite I've ever ridden! But honestly I've "only" ridden half a dozen other 2009 kites this season so my perspective is limited.. (NOTE: I've never ridden ANY O.R. kite)
Enjoy the SPIN (on whatever you ride),

If it's so Canadian, how come it "Yanks" you off the water.
For me this review is very helpful, given that I don't like getting yanked by my kite, whether on the water or into the air. However, I know a guy named Ben who will love this kite.

It says 10M, but it's really a 9.

Uhh, I think you missed the point....the Rise is not going to rip you out of the water unless you want it to, just like a 911 is not going to hit 60 miles an hour in a few seconds unless you hammer the pedal to the floor. High performance  kites are about both performance potential and control.
We're stoked that we feel we hit the ultimate blend of both with the Rise!

Just want to make sure the OR crew knows I was just giving you a hard time about the "est" thing. Overall, I think you guys do a good job representing your brand and marketing your products.
The Rise looks great and I'd like to try it this season.

dunno about the reviews, but there is definitely a really good tutorial on how to do a slim chance. Worth the loading time.

Fassn8,
Your first comment is right on the mark. Spinning and misquoting to increase sales and elevate a product; sounds like a distrustful ploy. Is this how OR conducts their sales campaign? Posting misquoted articles on forums to promote their products?
First thong underwear ads now this.
