Wild Turkeys on Yerba Buena Island

Coming home from work today i spotted these 2 wild turkeys wandering thru the trees near my house on YBI. I have seen lots of wild turkeys around the Bay Area but never here. I wonder how they got here.. Must have come in with the deer that was here a year or so ago..lol Quite amazing given the location.

They flew there likely, they can fly pretty well actually. I saw this coming back from Pismo when just before the steep uphill grade there were 5 or 6 of them walking across the hwy. Traffic just about came to a standstill and a couple cars were honking, and only then did they fly.
