The San Francisco Board of Supervisors held a public hearing on April 7th in a meeting of Audits and Oversights Committee,

There is no connection between the red tide and the spraying, it's already been disproven.

Also, none of the adverse reactions can be scientifically linked to the spray. People reported reactions in areas that were sprayed with plain water as a control.

There is alot of misinformation being put out there by irresponsible groups. Pheromones are not pesticides; they don't kill anything and are used in infinitesmal concentrations. If CDFA fails to take action against the moth, they will forced to use much more toxic materials.

There does seem to be a lot of disagreement about the facts. I imagine that there is probably some inaccuracy on both sides, it would be good to have more clarity.

We have some arguments from concerned citizens of various professions who are putting long unpaid hours into fighting this.

And then there is the CDFA's agenda.

I don't understand why CDFA hasn't researched a variety of other options for dealing w the moth, such as using natural predators. Flying planes over cities and smothering everything with Checkmate, just does not seem like a good idea to me.

Also people seem to be worried about the other so called "inert" ingredients in the spray, not so much the pheromones.
