Hi Guys,
I'm a college student and avid kiteboarder from Ireland coming to San Francisco to work on an internship with Oracle in Redwood Shores for 3 months from June 1st until roughly the end of August. I'm looking for accommodation preferably close to the 3rd avenue kitespot so to share a house or apartment with other kiteboarders would be perfect! I would probably need to be able to get to Redwood Shores on public transport.
If anyone has any advice or available accommodation that would be brilliant.
my email is: eoghanturley@gmail.com
Thanks!

It might be little tough to go kiting without a car unless you are hoping your roommate will be your chauffeur.

Sonny thanks for the reply!
Is there no public transport that leaves you within walking distance of the 3rd avenue kitespot? I have only been going by google maps so really don't have too much info.
I really want to kite a lot so any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
cheers!

No, there is not much of public transportation to 3rd AVE. Your best bet is get a car or have roommates who will drive you.

When I did not have a car, I just rented a car for the weekend. Also did the carshare.

I was thinking about telling him to use zip car and the like, but you need a driver license for that I think...kitedancer wrote:When I did not have a car, I just rented a car for the weekend. Also did the carshare.

Thanks for the help guys!
Yeah zip car looks like a good idea, I have a driver's license anyway but not sure about the age limit eligibility requirements as it looks like with exception, you have to be 21 years old.
I'll look further into it!

I was talking about an American driver license. I don't think they'll let you drive their zip car with an European one... And yes, you probably have to be over 21.
