Charlie I want to be a kiteboarder. I have done most of the things on your list but the lessons. I'll be getting those within a few weeks. I feel i really got the hang of the trainer.

You and the other BAK users will most likely be overcome by my questions once I do finially get on the water and strugle with that beginner curve. Everyone on here seems really cool so I look forward to everyones help.

thanks,

Blair

when i got to the water, flying the kite helped me meny times
i would crash off the board, but fly the kite to over head to regaine control
i saw alot of people crash, and then crash the kite too!
also not rushing out helped
take your time at frist
watch other kites

I've been researching and learning all I can since last summer. I have watched from the beach a few times but it is hard to see exactly how people are manuvering their kites. I was thinking of bringing my fathers spotting scope to the beach next time so i can see way out there. I would much rather learn from others now then the hard way out on the water.

I'm signed up for lessons next month and have 2 trainers a 1 and 3m that I use my harness with. It's fun flying the trainers and I can wait until my lessons before I thrash my new Co2. I noticed this thread kind is kind of old and wonder how it turned out for you 2?

charlieoneseven,
I took my lessons in mid may last year. By the end of the year i was getting comfortable to start jumping. That is when i started having the real fun! Also keep in mind that i wasn't very diligent about getting out and getting time out on the water. I plan on changing that this year.

C17, I think if you set a goal of jumping and maybe riding toeside those will be some very attainable goals.

I like the sport and can't wait till it gets windy!

Good luck,

Blair
