Tutorial: Facebook Badge In Your Signature
Here's a brief tutorial on how to create your Facebook Badge and how to display it in your profile. It's really easy to do and a cool thing as you have control over whatever you want to display in it.
Create your Facebook Badge:
Go here http://www.facebook.com/privacy/?view=search and make sure the "Create a public search listing for me and submit it for search engine indexing" box is checked.
1. Go to http://www.facebook.com/badges.php. If you're not already logged in, log in to get started.
2. Create your Facebook Badge - super easy!
3. Copy the html code displayed.
Place your Facebook Badge in your signature.
1. On this site, go to your User Control Panel. On the left click on Profile and click on Edit Signature.
2. Click on the BCode button above the text field that reads "facebook=". Notice the format is displayed as:
3. In any text editor, or even in the signature text field box (as long as you erase it before posting), paste the html code you copied from Facebook, which will look like this:
Copy your name and ID and place it in the first set of brackets as in this example:
Then copy your image ID and place it in the second part of the tag as follows, in between the first and second set of brackets:
4. That's it! Easy and simple. All you need to do is locate your name and ID from your Facebook html code and your image ID and place them in the right place within the Facebook tag here.
Customize your Facebook Badge to display whatever you like and place it in your sig file. Let me know if anyone has any trouble with the tutorial.
