Looking for Kite Advice

I'd like to get into snowkiting and I'm trying to figure out what size kite to get. The online shops generally suggest a 4-6m kite, but it seems like most of the people actually doing it up in the Tahoe area where I live are on 8-12m kites. Do you guys have any suggestions? I'm looking at the HQ Apex and Ozone Access kites, but I'm open to others. Thanks!
