Slingshot Pro Snow Kiters in Tahoe now!!!

Post by KillaHz » Fri Nov 19, 2004 9:27 am

Alex Peterson was launching hundreds of feet down the mountain and staying airborne for what seemed like 20 - 25 seconds at times. Double kiteloops were common place for Alex.

The boys will be in South Lake Tahoe until next Wednesday. We actually have pretty good wind forecast for the next few days.

If you want to come see what's up with Tahoe snow kiting or you just want to come see some insane riding, come on up this weekend. The weather is beautiful and the riders are ripping.

20 seconds in the air? Man, what are these guys wearing for protective gear? Surely full-face helmets, right? Awesome pic. Hard to imagine being airborne for so long....

20 seconds or more! Alex Peterson is insane! Protective gear; most were wearing helmets, some knee pads.

If I were to be doing what Alex is doing, I may consider the Oneill Tow surf suit. Full padded suit. It's been windy every day since these guys got here. A couple people from the bay are on their way up here and we're heading out in a couple hours.

More pics coming.

It was really windy up high today. We started hiking the spot we were at A couple days ago and neraly got blown off the mountain. We headed for lower ground and got a medium size kite session at Blue Lakes. It snowed a bit and should snow some more tonight. More wind forcast for tomorrow. Should be a good session with a nice light dusting on top.
