I'm headed up to Tahoe this weekend and the alpine conditions look shitty. I've been kiting for a few years but never snowkiting, am thinking this might be a good time to give it a shot.
Is anyone planning on kiting up there this weekend, it'd be good to synch up with someone experienced?
How do the conditions look/where would be the best place to look and what would I be looking for (wind direction/speed)?
I've got an 8, 10, 12 and 14m Vegas with the 5th line - hoping it will work.

It is very difficult to self-launch an LEI kite (and relaunch, if necessary) on the snow -- dangerous, too.
That said, if you find anyone to go with, post and let us know how the conditions are. Like you said, the alpine is going to SUCK with the low base, freezing cold, and wind. Hmmm sounds like classic East Coast ski conditions.
Hard snow is good for kiting, though.

It says 10M, but it's really a 9.
