Hi Everyone, Heather and Emily from Ozone Snowkites will be holding a demo in Mammoth, California this weekend (January 14th & 15th). We will be snowkiting in two different locations depending on the weather and snow conditions. We are planning on meeting Saturday morning at 10 am in front of Schatís Bakery on Main St. Come join us to check out the new Frenzy 06 and Access snowkites. Please let us know if you are interested in attending.

Well the first Ozone Demo for '06 in California went off with good riding with both falling snow and bluebird conditions all weekend. The event took place off the green church road past the Wittmore hotspring.
I arived around 12:30 due to a long drive from Sac. Heather with Ozone said it was crankin in the morning. When I got there the wind was calling for 10m or bigger. I tried to launch a 7.5m Frenzy, but with droping wind, a 2 inch crust on knee-deep powder, and too small a kite I could barely get up, much less get any good traction. About 10+ people showed up. At one point there were 6+ kites in the air at the same time... awesome site with the snow covered, high desert background! By 3:30 we called it a day. Most had an awesome day and major props to the guy the helped out with snowmobile rescue. Me and a buddy went splitboarding in the backcountry on Sunday and ended up late back to the truck... so we missed day two. I heard the wind kicked off in the afternoon and under bludbird skies they had excilent riding.
Heather will post more details soon. If you missed out - You missed out!
I will be organizing something near Tahoe in the next few weeks. Any thoughts on when and where a good place for a kite demo?
