You know what would be nice? A big dump of snow followed by a few days on a weekend of clear blue skies and good winds.

hahahahahahahahahahaha.

What? You were serious? Sorry.

Actually, they're calling for loads o'snow next Weds./Thurs. followed by dry Friday and then more snow for the weekend.

I don't mind skiing/kiting in the snow, and I don't mind driving in the snow. But driving in Tahoe weekend traffic, in the snow, f$&%#$ sucks. I'm sure everyone has stories, but one time I spent 6 hours on 80 going up, three hours skiing, and then 6 hours coming back down.

Oh wait. Then there was the time I stayed the night in Truckee and it took me 2 hours to go from the condo to Squaw Valley (10 miles).

Blow off work on Monday or Friday, better plan.

I'm up here now. It was snowing a bit up at the top of Northstar earlier today. It just started snowing again an hour or so down in Truckee. Light dusting so far...

SNOW!

Quantitative precipitation forecast Sunday generally expected to range from 1/2 to 1
inch in the valley (though some areas of the North Valley may be
shadowed and see less) with 1 to 3 inches in the foothills and
mountains. Some of the High Sierra elevations will likely see 2 feet
or more of snow by late Sunday night.

Like I said before, blow off work Monday!

Karl,
You going kiting or downhill? I've got a friend going to Sugarbowl tomorrow, but I'd rather go to Kirkwood...

What time are you leaving (you live in Lodi, right?)
