Wondering about snowkiting

Post by VanSimms » Thu Nov 24, 2005 12:49 am

I just got into kiteboarding three months ago after working my entire summer vacation 6 days a week 8 hours a day to pay for all the gear. I love kiting and at this point cain't get enough. I've got riding upwind dialed in, have good kite control and am starting to jump. I have have fairly good board skills on the snow and can s-turn down a black diamond. I own a Cabrinha Crossbow and a waist harness. Oh, and Im only 15 so transportation will be a bit of a problem.

So I was wondering if I cant get wind down here why not try tahoe?
I just have a few questions.
Where should I start (heard hope valley is good)?
When will there be snow(If not already)?
What kind of wind should I expect?
Is a Crossbow good for snow?
Is there anything that I can do to prepare?
Am I good enough to ride on snow?
Has anyone seen just friends, because that is an awsome movie,
and any other essential tips I would greatly apreciate.

You should read through all of the last year's posts in the "snowkiting" section of this site, and then...wait until we get some snow in Tahoe. I think all the answers to your questions have already been posted.
