With the big upper level high pressure overhead, I can't imagine this weekend will be stellar. At this point I'd take 15mph on my big kite.

Last weekend I was feeling very spoiled thinking that if I had to pump up a bigger kite, I'd sit a session out. Now I just hope my biggest kite will be enough for any kind of ride. What a difference a week makes.

Sensor say it's been blowing around 20 at SI for two hours now. Is someone messing with us?

Did you Folsom guys notice that NWS is calling for North wind starting Weds. of next week?

It says 10M, but it's really a 9.

I would love to get out at Folsom Lake next week but they just put a ban / speed limit to 5mph till the end of the season. I think this is partially due to the low water levels... I guess I could kite at 5mph...

EXTENDED MODELS NOW IN FAIRLY GOOD AGREEMENT IN LIFTING UPPER LEVEL
TROUGH INTO THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST NEXT MONDAY NIGHT AND TUESDAY.
THIS SHOULD BRING A MORE GENERAL COOLING FOR THE CWA BUT ALSO SOME
GUSTY WINDS OVER THE RIDGES TUESDAY ESPECIALLY NORTHERN ZONES. AS
THIS TROUGH EXITS TO THE EAST...SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE MOVES INTO THE
PACIFIC NORTHWEST AS UPPER HIGH BUILDS OVER THE EASTERN PACIFIC.
THIS WOULD BRING A WARM UP TO WELL ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES
COMBINED WITH BREEZY NORTH WINDS PRODUCING FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS FOR
THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK. LARGE HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE OVER THE WESTERN
U.S. WILL BRING CONTINUED VERY WARM AND DRY CONDITIONS FOR THE END
OF NEXT WEEK BUT LIGHTER WINDS.

BTW...

The "JUNK" in the water is pretty knarly stuff....

We talked to a Sac. Water Resources person today and he strongly urged us to stay out and by no means to let the kids or pets in...

As much as I hate to admit it, it sounds like the real deal, kind of like going in "Red Tide" in Southern Ca... you just don't do it..
