Good times @ Melones.. Deb and I both got sessions all afternoon.. Love the 9m Rhino.. Could not even fell the gust that were over 35. Have not been on a kite that felt more stable.. Deb and I are able to ride the same kite now... Might be a small problem... Ha Ha. NORTH KITES RULE...

On our way to the coast yesterday, we were talking about all the potential good kite spots that have yet to be discovered. The north winds in the valley are strong and pretty reliable (notice I didn't say "steady") this time of year and in the fall. Some years in the spring it will blow north 3 days a week every week. Those days are often pretty warm, too. (Man it was cold at Dillon yesterday!).

There are days (like today, for example) when the coast goes fully north and the bay shuts down that it is nuking in the valley. It's great that kiters are breaking out and trailblazing on Folsom, Melones, etc.

And the new kites are making kiting in lower quality wind alot more enjoyable, probably safer, too.

It says 10M, but it's really a 9.
