Charlie, does this mean there will be wind? Most likely?

The coast is the only hope for this weekend, at least according to the forecast.

From the looks of Ikite, when it's fogged out on the coast, the wind blows where it's not foggy, like at Dillon and Bodega. I thought this normally worked the other way (the fog upstream of the wind). Still not strong enough to kite, though. Not yet, anyway.

Driving to Pt. Emerito on a Friday afternoon. Now that's scary.

We've skipped right over spring here in the Valley. Current temperature at 5:30 pm:

93 degrees.

Breaks the record set in 2005.

Seems like with that fog on the coast and the heat here, it's a classic setup for a big cooldown that would pull wind through the slot and into the Delta. But that's a summer pattern.

Sure feels like summer to me.

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM PDT THIS MORNING THROUGH THIS EVENING...

.TODAY...W TO SW WINDS 15 TO 30 KT NORTH OF THE BAY BRIDGE AND IN THE CARQUINEZ STRAIT. OTHERWISE SW WINDS 10 TO 20 KT WITH LOCAL GUSTS TO 25 KT THIS AFTERNOON. AREAS OF FOG.

they pulled out the 30. does that mean hope for the delta today?

is san pablo bay likely to be good with this pattern? i saw an old post mentioning a launch north of the richmond-san rafael bridge associated with a "brickyard". does anyone have any more information about that? i was thinking if it was a kitable spot it might be better than the usual east bay spots if the wind is strongest up north bay. or is the delta always probably as good or better?
