Looks like the valley will be heating up for the weekend, could mean smokin' winds at Sherman.

(NSW Sacto) Triple digit
heat expected Friday for some areas and Saturday for most valley
locations. Models indicate a weak low pressure disturbance will move
through northern California on Sunday. It may help to cool
temperatures a couple of degrees but in general 100 degree heat
looks like it will continue.

And the important thing: no mention of north winds (we like North kites, but hate North winds)

The best wind at Sherman seems to be those smooth, smooth thermals. Smokin' was probably the wrong word.
