Sherman Island - Memorial Day Weekend?

Post by OliverG » Wed May 24, 2006 8:00 pm

Ok, so I'm calling on some of our resident forecasters to put themselves out there and generate a forecast for SI for this Memorial Day weekend. I'd love to, and am planning, to bring the trailer up for it's first stay this year and have a bit of a party and BBq, so let's hear what's up? Is it going to go?

Thanks,
Ollie

I can take it, let the chips fall where they may. I'm not locked into SI, but it would be nice. Coast is good too!

Mmmm Sacto NWS is not exactly forecasting summer weather for this weekend. Cloudy, possible showers.

Like Charlie said, it's supposed to be blowing onshore pretty hard, so it's not going to be a thermal deal. Probably still windy, but it might be better in Berkeley or on the Coast.

Hopefully not like today, where it was blowing sweet at Berkeley all pm but not at SI until really late.

I wasn't ready for summer anyway.

SI forecast

Post by zgur » Thu May 25, 2006 8:25 am

Ollie - it's going to be really good at z delta over the weekend. You will for sure have plenty of opportunity to kite, and hurl your body all over the place - can't wait to see it ;-)

Oh, yes, the coast is going.....talk dirty to me...c'mon..... "WNW swell continues to hold up with head high+ surf for most breaks and sets running several feet overhead at top breaks. Decent swell energy but breezy winds produce bumpy shape." I love it when they talk dirty to me that way.

Get some, Z.
