the closest bart station is mac arthur and there is a free shuttle from there to two blocks away from pt emery.
The traffic on the weekend to SF is horrible.
I was actually kidding about BART. I'd like to see any kiter get all of his stuff on the train before the door closes.
That stretch of I-80 has like an hour a day when it's not a parking lot. Like from 11:30 until 12:30, when there's no frickin wind. Dewey, we should have checked out Lagoon Valley today. It was probably kiteable on your 16. Paul
if it helps..
i got there(pt emery) at say 3.30 just in time to see the wind fade, at 4, i went home ...alameda had some wiGgLe in it so ... i ... kited alameda it was 16m and my glide but i was able to try my back rolls to port and stbd.good day and ah.. i saw fog at the gate but it sucked back out fast . charlie
with all this sucking and blow'n this site is start'n to look more like porn...
I got me some'mm, well kinda sucked then blew too, somethimes blasted.. Got my butt handed to me at the races a few times tonight. But at least I wasnt dead last, AGAIN! And I think I was the only guy going strapless... Really with the congestion on the roads, then the congestion on the water, whats a guy to do??? At least it was wet... Oh ya, cold too! L.M.G.
I took a train from my sister's house (about half KM form the train) to a beach 90 KM away. I was visiting and no one had a car for me. The best thing is that time is predictable and less than driving in traffic. You can also relax after getting worked out.
Took one kite, board, helmet, vest, but no wetsuit. So its possible Main reason I stopped riding motocross is the 80 miles drive to the track. It goes through every traffic jam in the bay area. And then there are the broken bones and the age, but lets forget about that.
As I am new to this forum, I am just curious how my origional post went from a weather forcast to a discussion about traffic and using Bart.
Well at least it did not go to an argument about parking a trailer, dog owners and poo poo haters.... Rich Rich "ATOM" Baum
