Friday -- Be Careful!

Post by Pablito » Fri Mar 10, 2006 8:27 am

Just in case anyone is only looking at the wind sensor and not checking the weather -- They are forecasting crazy ass weather for today:

Thunder
Lightning
Hail
FUNNEL CLOUDS

We don't get this weather very often, but today might be one of those days that Rick from IKA is always reminding people about.

I'm glad I got out yesterday. Just as I was pulling out of the parking lot the rain started to fall. Reminds me of the good sessions last year. Remember Easter?? Huge storm blew through dropping buckets, just as everyone came in.

Temp. was 46 degrees when I left the beach and dropping. I don't know how Yoko stayed out for 2 hours!!! On the radio they said we might see snow at sea level today and tomorrow.

After this series of storms, we should have a warmer day! I hope! I guess after kiting in rain, too light wind, it didn't matter if it was cold, I just wanted to go out and have fun. I did! BIG Thanks for your grabs.

Might give new meaning to the term "snowkiting". Sunday night is supposed to be the coldest night, but they're saying the "unseasonably cold" weather will probably hang around all next week, too.

Remember that picture someone posted of a kiter, in the water, with icicles on his bar!
