as for today and berkely....well i felt that would have happen yesterday...?
thats the n.p.h. (north pacific high)it flotes around out in the pacific
when it builds in we get wind
if it moves up or down we get wind
if it pulls back ...we dont get wind,it can set up and push the top of the coastal waters down to the south, hence upwelling of cold water in the summer.... it makes..FoG.
if it sets up in a bad spot we dont get good wind
it starts to do that in the next couple of months set up
now all we got to do is play with it .
paul berk had low tide, lots of beach

NWS discussion: Current
timing moves these frontal bands through roughly early Monday and
early Tuesday. With abundant moisture tap...these systems likely to
be fairly good precipitation producers. Tight pressure gradients indicated
with these systems as well so strong winds also likely to accompany
these frontal systems. Snow levels should remain generally high and
not drop until the second frontal band moves through Tuesday
afternoon.
A second low pressure system from Alaska merges with the first
around the middle of next week holding a low offshore through the
extended period and leaving the County Warning Area under unstable showery
conditions through the remainder of next week.
Oh, also they mentioned "light onshore flow" beginning today, which means you guys might get some wind in the bay in the pm.

GUSTS POSSIBLE. RAIN BECOMING LIKELY.
.MON AND TUE...SE WINDS 20 TO 30 KT WITH LOCALLY HIGHER GUSTS
POSSIBLE. RAIN LIKELY.
That's the afternoon cast for the Bay. I think the forecasters here in the Valley get up earlier in the morning than the Bay guys do. They were already talking about "strong winds" in their 4 am. post.
Figures the wind shows up just in time for me to be on a plane. I'm glad I chose to change planes in Pheonix instead of SF.
