It's hard to ignore how these two posts prove how tough it is for them to predict the wind more than two days out...

Actually, this morning's forecast for today (Tuesday) is consistent with Saturday's forecast for today.
Now we'll have to wait for the end of the day to see if we really get SE 5-15. With the incoming storm looks like a pretty good chance that it will be validated.

You can't tell me you're getting excited about SE 5-15? Isn't that almost the default position for this time of year?

5-15 ENE isn't exciting for windsports, but is good for surfing--offshores!
Just saying that the long and short term forecasts were consistent. Usually, the long range is way off, and the forecast gets adjusted as the date comes closer.
Maybe the computer models for long-term forecasting is getting better? Or the NWS just got lucky?
Looks like the weekend is going to be full of energy in the wind and water!

Three days in a row forecast seems to increase the chances that one of them will be right...
