Yeah I'm hopin' too. Even though I left my wet wetsuits in Ishigaki, I'm thinking of buying another one Saturday morning. Then I'll be happy. Otherwise I'm flying to SPI soon...

SE 10-20 is kiteable at Alameda?

Never been. May have to check it out on Sunday. Is that like side-onshore there?

I think you're going to want to wait for, like, a week of storms up in Tahoe before thinking about snowkiting.

Alameda works on a lot of directions, most anything except N, NE or E. Don't know if the sensor needs calibration, but ENE (oops, shhh!) has been good in the past also. Anything with South is good and typical winter or storm direction and opposite of normal spring, summer or fall W, WNW or WSW.

Cool!
Normally I see SE and I think "offshore".

There was actually a south breeze here for about an hour today mid-afternoon. I almost got excited.

NWS this morning:
Models all onboard with upcoming wet weather. 1st event
poised to move in late Saturday into Sunday. Then by Tuesday into
Wednesday the GFS continues to show a "pineapple express" pattern
setting up with rising 500mb heights and a favorable south-southwest trajectory.
Have raised snow levels significantly this period to above 8000 feet.
Third shortwave prognosticated to move onshore across northern California on Thursday.
This system should have snow levels lowering to near 6000-7000 feet
across the Sierra.

Damn Charlie, I was just about to post that. I guess you and me constitute the early risers club around here.

Hehehe, your post yesterday was at 4:20 again. Are you doing that on purpose?
