GAME ON:

Delta breeze has re established itself this morning with sustained winds of 20 miles per hour at
Travis AFB. Upper trough responsible for kicking the socal low
inland forecast to shift into the Pacific northwest by this evening.
Cooler airmass and increased Delta flow should bring significant
cooling to most areas today.

The Guys at Ikite need to check their own sensors before they do their forecasting for the day.

Early -- this time of year I get to sleep in. I think Charlie gets up every hour during the night to check the sensors.

Too bad I didn't head out when I posted; the wind seems like it's dropping now. Maybe it'll come back in the pm...

yeah, I know, I'm looking at the alameda readings and it's not exactly what I was expecting from a gale warning :(

Dawn Patrol at SI was excellent. Plenty of wind and swell. It was really crowded with both of us out there! Done by 10:15 and back on again now!

I am tempted to hit Alameda but I have yet to sail on a southerly day. How much different is it? what should I look out for? I assume it is just the opposite of riding normally. Are there more dangers with wind shifts when it is southerly, more chance of going offshore?
