Looks like it might be a good week, hopefully we won't get too much heating to crush it.

High tides, high winds, looks like the sand bar at The Bay could get epic for one last time, see you all there!.

dude alameda at 11mph avg is good.

And now for the news everyone has been waiting for. After expecting a highly anticipated afternoon session (no kiting since Friday) we ended up with.........nothing. In the East Bay anyway. Maybe tomorrow.

I just checked the weather (wind) for Wednesday and got three completely different forecasts from Ikite, Weather Underground, and NWS marine.

WTF? It's only twelve hours from now. Isn't all that technology good for anything at all!!!!

I think it ended up being kiteable at SI this afternoon for, like, an hour and a half, but I couldn't make it down. Tomorrow, it will probably be blowing 17 at three, and I'll head down there and it will die just after I get my kite pumped.

first time on the bay

Post by Guest » Wed Oct 12, 2005 11:07 am

had almost 4 hours on the bay (3rd ave) yesterday...

lot`s of fun finally!

good that i was close to the bay, when wind died on instant.
thermal winds seem to be realy unpredictable at the end of the season around here!

please drop me a line, if theres a chance to go out at waddell, since i would love to catch some waves...

Daniel,

Glad to hear you finally got your gear and were able to get some time in on the Bay! Hopefully you'll bring home some good memories of our spots.
