Reasons for un-populated kiting area's
1.) If there is no wind meter there, how do we know if it blows? -You go see.
2.)No one is probably there to launch my kite, and land it? -Learn 2 launch your kite?
3.)I saw a negative post about sketchy people and snakes in bushes-Stay away from bushes and welcome to the bay area! Have fun be safe, explore the outdoors....
Before everyone else does!

Harpo got it. It was Lake Sonoma, on *Sunday* the 29th. It was supposed to be windy everywhere, so I brought my kite gear with me & kited Lake Sonoma. I got some great woohoos from the wakeboarders ;-) Winds were light, little chance to stay upwind but it's now checked off my list of stuff to do.

I *love* the boat-in camp sites on this lake. Just wonderful. I wouldn't drive here to kite, but if you're already camping w/family and can get in a session, why not?

I think with the right system in place there have got to be quite a few spots you could kite on the Hayward shoreline... And the wind there is cherrrrrryy pieeee

It probably helps though to bring your short line set for your kite or to buy an Airush Access

Bunch of people got this right. Pond #8, next to the Napa River in the Carneros Region. Huge pond, knee deep, butter flat water. Windy in the summer.

I saw someone use "Pond # x" to refer to a pond near Sunnyvale once. Where are these numbers coming from? When I look on maps I just see unlabeled square ponds.

It must be Gusty?!? I've heard about the nice butter......

I know some secret spots as well, but not for the entire community! Sorry, sometimes a secret is a secret.
