Guess this spot

Post by jowall » Mon May 30, 2011 9:49 pm

I got a session on Saturday 5/29 at a place I had never kited before. Can anyone guess this bay area spot??? If not, I'll give more clues/pictures.

No idea, but I am gonna post my own photo of another SFbay spot, which I use to kite all the time. Any guesses as to where this might be?

So was it Saturday the 28th or Sunday the 29th?

I'm guessing Sunday, Lake Berryessa. It was blowing like stink when I left for the coast.

Saturday I think it was cloudy and cold everywhere in Norcal, right?

Yup.. pretty much. Went out at the Racetrack on big kites and then a squall came through and drenched us with calm wet wind. Nobody saw it coming!! Then got blown off the beach with nuclear winds at OB on Sunday.... Thank goodness I was coming off a sweet Friday session at the Racetrack! It gets so steady there! YeaHaw!

Napa River looks about right..... for pic # 2. Lake Mendocino for #1? Not really a bay area site but I've heard it can be GOOD!

I like this game, there's 4-5 20 minutes from alameda, "the best spots, no one kites!"
