Can someone comment on "that thing" around the That 70's Guys chest, WHAT the heck is THAT?? I suspect it is either an inflatable life jacket or some form of man-bra.

i was googling pics of my giant 13 ft windsurfing board i found that and am converting into a SUP and came across this pic.

I've been using an old windsurfer kinda like the one in your photo for Stand-up paddling in the Oakland Estuary, it works pretty well even though its a bit narrower then the real thing. The great thing is it was FREE and still works pretty well. I keep it down the street next to the water by Coast Guard Island. My first retro SUP got snaked or disposed of by some do-gooder cleaning up. This one I wrote PLEASE do NOT REMOVE but I figure eventually someone will.... Now I've got my eye on an old Matrix just like the one I learned to windsurf on in 1980..
I go WOW when I think that almost 29 years ago has gone by since then. I'm GLADE I'm NOT that guy anymore! Somewhere, I've got a photo of me riding that thing, I'm all pumped up with a neck big as my head, Isn't youth a beautiful thing! That's about the time I quit pumping iron and beating up (or attempting to) on fools that looked me sideways. If you think I'm impulsve now, you can't imagine what kind of bull-shit commentary ran between my ears back in those dayz. (Actually I wasn't that bad, I only lost controll when drinking)

I think it's a primitive harness--you can just see a hook in the middle. There must have been issues with nipple chafing back then...

holy shit! that is a hook isnt it?! how funny. these guys last year, whom bought their kites off craigslist, decided that an old car seatbelt would make an ideal first harness. as much crap as i gave them for being unsafe it is actually not a bad idea in terms of the release.

To look as bad as that guy does requires the ability to make your own clothes.
