Did I miss it?

Post by fearlu » Sat Oct 30, 2004 5:34 pm

I went to Hollister today to ride dirt bikes and when I got home I checked the pager and, lo and behold, it looked windy at the coast. Did I miss anything?

The throttle is fun, but...

Seems that the Coast was the only place with wind. Even if it was good, you didn't miss anything, because you were doing something else fun and by choice! :)

One of my peeves, petty as it is, is when someone says, "Dude, you missed a killer session, you should have been there!" Well, I wasn't, and probably for a good reason based on a choice I made, so I didn't miss anything, really. Ok, petty rant's over. :)

Ollie's logic asside, ....

You missed it big time. Reluctantly passed by Waddell with 20 kites out and some well-defined small sets rolling in ... lauched at Scott's ... and, baby, it was sweet. Right off the bat, I rode 2, count 'em, 2 ... b-e-a-utiful waves ... head high ... long ride .... just sweet. Many more waves, but my timing went to hell and the crowd made it harder to claim them. But, it was nice.

Well, OK, you got me there. But realize that my logic is only to make myself feel better when I do miss it!

Just FYI, I went to Scott's on Sunday too ... and it was epic ... again .... that place rocks ... it's the waves .... I don't even care about jumps when good waves are present ....... VIVA EL NINO !!

Scott's is a shitty place to kite....too many people....too crowded....the waves too fast and too meaty......

You missed nothing.....it sucks in the sharky cold waters of the bay.
