Sorry if this post is a little off-topic, but... I am in the process of redesigning my home, and am thinking about mounting a kiteboard diagonally on the wall for decorative effect when I'm not using it. However, I can't use ready-made brackets like the ones they have for snowboards because of the 1.25" fins. Does anybody have recommendations on what's the best way to go about this? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

how about using wakeboarding clips or board holders
I wakwboard as well and as that sport is more mainstream and there are tons of aftermarket towers, poles, and board racks you may be able to find one that would work. Wakeboards have fins, some removable, some molded in.
A silly and fun way to mount it would be have a couple of fake feet sticking out of the wall and just hang the bindings on the feet.
good luck

I have actually made some out of aluminum or stainless before. Feel free to call me if you want some custom ones made up.

i use 2x4s with i/2 dowels
my boards slide in at a 45
it takes two 2x4s about 3 feet long ,mounted like rails about 4 feet off the floor on a wall.spaced about foot strap apart.
if you lay it out nice you can get about 4 boarsds on it .
that would be about 8, 1/2 inch dowles about 3/4 of the withd of your boards say 10 to 12 inchs long drilled at a 45 into the 2x4s
cheep ,fast to build if you have a drill and 1/2 argger bit ?
course if in dought, blast that board on the wall with a nail gUn anD Be DoNe.
also use one rail, with dallowes all over to hold my frist line of kites.
(i want to air dry ,not sit in puddle?)
