They said that without a registration number I'm sol.

I have an email from Windwing stating that I have the only kite like this. I have proof that I paid for it. I can describe all sorts of details that no one has discussed and I bet the theives don't even know. The cops don't care.

If it were my stuff, and police assistance was not an option, I would meet up with them and confront them if it was indeed my stuff!. I would not pay a penny to them, and would, (one way or the other), become a VERY BIG problem for them, bring a friend with a camera and cell phone set to 911. Just Can't stand ripoffs! :-x

Alison:

I can get an address on that phone number if you need that:

Send your IM info to me, Yuri and anyone else who is helping so we can setup a chat room and plan this out. Looks like you need someone to setup a staged meetup since they might be suspicious of you already.

New watch, new cops, now they say they're willing to set up something for tomarrow.

I don't get it.

Officer Borden talked to every commanding officer he could and thay all said no. Now Officer Dougherty is telling Yuri that they didn't know that more than just a kite was involved. Bordern knew. He also knew it would be the size of a living room.

Even that's bizarre since my police report lists everything down to the green mesh bag the wetsuit, booties, gloves, rash guard etc was in.

But Yuri's calling the theives right now to try to set up a meeting for tomarrow afternoon. And then supposedly the undercover cop will swoop in.

Big Thanks to Yuri who's very tired from a long day at work and still going after these guys.

Make sure the cops understand the value of the stolen goods and that they are dealing in stolen goods on craigslist -- it helps if it's GRAND theft or anything over 2K.

I've been telling every cop I talk to that this is $2500 worth of gear and that it's currently being advertised on Craigslist.

I don't get it

I think we are counting on dumb criminals here -- seeing that we are posting about recovering stolen goods on an open board that is specific to kiting the bay area ;). One google search and the cover is blown. Maybe admin should hide this thread until tomorrow since there is nothing to do now but wait...
