Lessons and Rentals in Los Barriles Baja

Post by adamrod » Tue Oct 31, 2006 10:59 am

So, a few non-kiting friends would like to take lessons during our trip to Baja. We're staying in Los Barriles. Are there any places that offer lessons? the only place I could find was Vela/dare2fly . . .

The instructors from Dare2Fly last year are starting their own school just north of the kitebeach in los barriles. Its called ExotiKite. The instructors names are Megan and Ian. Ian is a sick windsurfer and kiter. Megan gave my girlfriend a lesson last year and she is good. They will have all new north rebels for their school. I don't know if they have a website yet, but Megan's email is [olearyme78@hotmail.com]

When you going to los barriles?

We're going Dec 15-22, you gonna be there? It'd be fun to hook up with a few other norcal folks. I've never been, so any tips/suggestions would be more than welcome.

We're renting a condo, hopefully it's within walking distance of the beach? I don't really know the layout of the town . . .

The exotikite website IS up . . .i've contacted them, we'll see what they say.

Megan and Ian are great - met them last year. As far as walking to the beach....depends where your Condo is located - a lot of properties are on/near the beach...but I still used my car - was able to drive my car right onto the kite beach. BTW pack your booties for Los Barriles - there are rocks that will give your feet a nasty cut.
