I'm wondering where the bad reviews of the Rebel are coming from? I've only read and heard positive things.

Does the phrase "5 line kite" equal "bad review" in Yuriworld?

It says 10M, but it's really a 9.

To be honest, the fifth line is really driving my crazy. Yes, I know, I should practice spinning the other direction. None the less, it is super annoying to have to unwind.

To get back to the thread, I have tried the Hyper type. I'm a retail kiter with no connections, just looking for the right kite. I had a quiver of type 7's this season. I will compare the Hyper to the 7's. After flying Zeev's and Narly1 Vegas a few times, that seems to be the best kite IMO of this season
The Hyper type is difinetely something to demo. It has great low end. High end for would easily hav covered my 9m weather. It goes upwind like nothing else with little edge pressure on the board. The timing of the jumps is the same as the C kite but smoother. It sends BIG with heaps of hang time. The loops are crisp but not quite as fast the 7's but not as punishing either if you don't finish your trick. I think I could use the 12 almost exclusively as the low end is almost equal to my 15 type 7. Relaunch is effortless. The bar is clean, simple but could use a little more depower adjustment length. Hyper has a spinning loop with a couple saftey options.
I would like to try the rebel too. The 5th line Y looks like it would make it more stable. The 07 vegas should be great and then there is always the type 8 (probably an Ollie and Chip kind of kite) oops I got to go to work!

Thanks for that review. Don do you know when that new North will actually be availble? Having a bow kite I am so used to the low end. What I have a hard time giving up is knowing I would not get that extra ooomph on the light wind days using the same kite. Right now I can go out in 8 mph with my glid and be perfectly happy. I can go out on my medium board up to 25-gusts of 30. I know the hybrid kites are less prone to inversion and dont bounce around as much in the air and most dont have the pulleys, which is great but I know I will never get the same low end as a kite that simply put has a larger projected area. And again, with a closet capable of 3 kites only, I gotta choose carefully my light wind weapons and my winter storm arsenals.

And for the record, Yuriworld is nothing but 3 breasted women running around and 7 line kites tumbling down the paths, I dont reccomend going there unless you are really bored. But no, I have nothing against 5 lines other than I dont want anything extra no matter what the benefits. I want a 1 line kite that will go from 5-30 mph and never break and inflate itself and make me do tricks I have never done before.

Yuriworld is closed!

YODA="Given these facts, you can now realize your question does not make sense."
FYI- you responded to a post with a question about a RRD kite with hype about the kites you rep.
I am just calling you out on that.
If someone said it was a crap kite would you post that?

In the long run it's all made in the same rubber dogshit factory as all the other kites, except for Ozone maybe, since they make paragliders.

I know that Yuri was inquiring about the RRD, but if you read his post, he also mentions a few other kites (SS Link, N Rebel and Cab Switch2) and then asks in general about "what is the next best thing". He left himself wide open to a response from me and it was not out of line.

Since I have not found any reviews that say the Instinct is a crap kite, then it makes it hard to post that info. Some users have expressed that they felt it wasn't the best kite they had flown, but no one has straight-up said that the kite is crap. It's not conducive for me or Ozone to post links to negitive reviews, but I'm sure there are few out there if you look hard enough. As I stated - I don't post reviews... good or bad! :)

Flew this kite for the first time Monday. I had to sneak in the session, so only got about an hour on it. I kind of cruised around mostly getting the feel. I treated it like a new car, kind of like keeping it under 5K RPMs, parking it in the back of the lot. That's a lot of money to wreck the first day out!

My first impressions are that this is a very sweet kite. Depower is amazing. Very floaty thing. If I sheeted in when sending it, I was wondering when I would come down. Turning speed was like my C kites. The bar pressure was very light. That might take some getting used to. The bar itself seemed very sweet. One exception is the donkey dick, which could use some viagra. Maybe since it's design is different, there's a different way to use it.
