Place to ride today

I'm in town from Texas and have the afternoon free. Has 3rd ave been picking up in the afternoon or is there another good place to ride today. I don't know how the summer winds usually go around here. I've always had good luck at 3rd ave during the summer months though.

Also, do they still rent boards down there?

Go to Sherman (you'll need a board, though)

no board rental anywhere in the bay. But may be you try the "I am interested in this or that board" at Helm of sunvalley. you can have a test ride for a reasonable price. At least worth a try.

Board Rental

Kite Wind Surf does rent kiteboards, in sizes from 122 to 158 for a daily rate, available in the shop. KWS also has several boards available for demo that are available where ever the Demo Gear trailer happens to be. (Probably up in the delta this weekend)
