so the sensor says 18+, but it's absolutely not 18+ at the launch. It's closer to 12 or less.... howcome?

Does it have something to do with the southwest direction? Does it always happen with this direction? Why does it happen?

thanks for any or all answers...

B.

When it's more southwest, it's lighter at the launch. But when it's blowing west, it can be stronger at the launch than the sensor says. Thursday night it was goofy up and down/gusty in front of the beach and more solid in the channel.

The sensor is also down the river a ways(by the Sign), and the wind there can get blocked by the hills if it shifts NW a bit.

The iwindsurf sensor has been reading high this year.

I'd say it's been reading high sometimes and low other times, at least compared to the launch at the park. It depends on the wind direction.
