Harness advice

Post by zgur » Thu May 25, 2006 11:07 am

Get the one that fits your body best. Go into a good shop who has a set up for hooking in and trying harnesses, and try them on to see which one fits you best. It's a personal preference thang......Also depends on what you are doing - freestyle, waves, hooked in or unhooked most of time, etc.....age/body size are also factors to consider.

I use the North Waist harness, and it's quite good.

Gets some, Z.

The Mystics look pretty fly, if they fit and work good I want one. I like their graphics on all their stuff, kind of a medieval goth kind of look, like armour or something.

I've seen it and worn the harness, it's Top tier. I'm 5'10-5'11 and 180-85 lbs, I like the medium. The wetsuit feels really nice, too.

I have the Mystic Waist harness, and it is a great product.
I have mainly ridden Seat harnesses in the past, until the Mystic came along. It has really good back support, and also the spreader bar is locked into a pad, so that it protects your ribs. A good transition if your used to a Seat.

LIQUID FORCE

Post by jstjohn3 » Sat Jun 03, 2006 9:42 am

I am using the Liquid Force Impact Vest/Harness, I bought it at live2kite.com, It gives me much better support than the DaKine Impact Vest/Harness I used last. Lots of surface area for back support and another huge plus is the integrated elastic velcro wrap that really keeps the whole unit in place i.e: NOT RIDING UP!(much more effective than DaKine's) If it does ride up after getting yarded, you can actually reach inside and easily pull the velcro wrap back down-AND THE ENTIRE UNIT SETTLES BACK IN PLACE AND STAYS!!! Yeah, I love this vest. [web]http://www.live2kite.com/product_info.p ... 7932c428c2[/web]

All right I know I look gay and all that but I use a good old seat harness..
After breaking a few ribs I'll take a little ball crunching anyday, besides I also developed an addiction to air.
