Cool article. Puts a positive light on windsports.

Alameda instacrowd?

I'd never heard that one about Chinese & Polynesians kiting in the 13th century.

yeah, I think kiting in the 13th century is BS. Regarless, it's a good article and will definitely increase the crowd in Alameda. Last weekend, there where plenty of new faces there and the kites where just everywhere on the beach. Should we put a sign like the one's at 3rd ave so that everyone know the beach kiting do's and don'ts.

LMG were you interviewed for this article about some of your equipment from back in the day?
"Some bars have a reel that allows relaunches in crowded waters"
Pickle Fork Board photos???
Did you EVER shape one of those???

Clints - I think there are guidelines in the reader board case that LMG made on his dime and hung on the end of the shack. They may be faded by now though...

About the sign on the reader board. I know it's there but it's not really visible to civilians and even to the new kiters. I like the signs at 3rd ave cause they are very visible to both kiters and civilians and wish we have the same signs put up in Alameda.
