Alameda Picnic Sunday 4/9

Post by OliverG » Sun Apr 09, 2006 7:02 pm

Today many folks showed up for a picnic at Alameda organized by John Wallace as a Kiting Family Picnic Day. We often see many of the same faces at our launches, but the spouses, girlfriends and kids are often seen much less so this was a great opportunity to get together.

The weather and wind didn't turn out to be what we had all hoped but many showed up anyway bringing great food and drinks and a good time was had by all. We even got to see a demonstration where a few of the guys were actually able to wakeboard behind a dinky inflatable pontoon style boat with a 25 hp motor. Amazing!

Big thanks go out to John Wallace and family who made the effort to secure the reservations and permits from the East Bay Parks District.

Thanks John!
