I should start a different thread for this but...

if anyone is interested in the 2 pulleys required for the xbow bar pressure mod, I got 10 sets of them right before I sold the xbow. Let me know if you want me to bring them to the beach. Thats all you need. You can use the lines that are on the kite. God knows why the hell this works so well but it does.

Yep, being able to dump power also means that you have more flexibility with board choice.

I was using 145 lightwave from 15 to 30 and didn't change it. I had another 136 board on the beach and never bothered to use it. Since you can release the power you don't need to edge hard, so the bigger board works and can take you through the lulls better than the smaller one. If the wind was steady, it would probably be a different story, but when it goes up and down you have more freedom of choice.

Custom light wind board is in the works right now, new shiny Vacuum pump in the garage waiting to suck epoxy :) :)
