Tomales on SSE

Has anyone kited Tomales on southerly storm winds? It's the only place blowing today and last Sun & Mon looked good too.

I was just going to ask the same question. Ollie has a write up in the "locations" section that says it can be good in winter storms. Seems like SSE would be side shore.

A bit of a drive, though.

I guess BAK will have to send out a spy mission, car full o'kiters on a SE storm, drive up Hwy. 1 lookin' for the west bay crew.

It's pretty hard to hide a kite once it's in the air...

Tomales sensor reads 3-4 mph high.
On a SE wind, one good launch is Tomales bay park, Millerton Point, where the Osprey nest is. Go out to the sandy beach point.
Stinson surf was too raging Weds but Tomales was ok for a big kite.
