As we are getting ready for the occasional blasting stormy winds, and also the consistently light and smooth winter, spring, and Alameda Summer conditions I wanted to let you know of a recent development that Live2KITE and Underground have recently completed and have already in stock.
The brand new 2006 Underground FLX 152 x 45 extra carbon.
Based on extensive testing with local riders (bigger and smaller) at Crissy, Stinson, and undisclosed East Bay location the need for the wider FLX was created. Based on the most successful board for 2005/2006 the wider FLX has a little extra carbon that will make it flatter for the light days, and reduce some of the excessive flex for the bigger riders.
We have already tested this board in ultra light conditions along the coast (aprx. 10mph on a 16m kite), as well as been doing upwind while the only kite in the air at Crissy (with average 9mph on a Type 7 18m - the other light wind machine).
