Kitewindsurf Open Thu 17th at 6pm + Sat 19th @ 10am

Post by andyandmarlys » Tue Nov 15, 2005 9:53 pm

If you need anything at KWS before the Thanksgiving Break come get it on Thursday the 17th at 6pm and Saturday the 19th at 10am.....

I will also be around on the evening of Monday the 21st, but on Tuesday, I am headed to Washington for Thanksgiving and won't be back until Sunday...

Also, just so everyone knows, I will be headed to Mexico on the 14th of December, and won't be back until Jan 2nd.... There is a good chance no one will be able to open the shop durring the holidays, so be sure to get any christmas shopping done early....

Jeff and I will both be able to communicate while the shop is closed via email...

Thanks

Andy

PS... I have a couple of Switchblade 12's in stock, a Crossbow 12, and in a couple days I should have a selection of turbo diesels..

We had a 12 in stock and already sold it. Was there a size you were looking for?

I know Dave Civiello has a 16m Octane to Demo. Have you tried it yet? If you already know you want one, I know we have a shipment coming from SS this week, so I could tack on an Octane if you'd like..

Andy

PS.. I flew the octane 16 next to my 14 Rhino 5... I preferred the octane.... Turns seemed faster and it had more power.. Jumping was better as well... I have heard the 16m Octane is closer to a 15m in sizing though...

Real has them listed at $1649 complete for a 16m. Why so expensive?

I agree that it is not the kite for everybody... More expensive than Slingshot's Bow style kite... However they are pushing this as thier performance kite and the bow kite as a wave/free ride kite..

Lots of nice things in the octane like split strut, one pump, leading and traling edge battens, dacron leading edge, durability, releasable and adjustable 5th line, reverse relaunch setup, etc...

SS also has great customer service from my experiences, supports kiteboarding events and expansion (www.kitegirl.com) for example, and is actively trying to build the kiting community by sponsering lots of riders and events.
