winter wetsuit?

Hi - ummm, like I said before I'm coming out to the area on holiday real soon, and just want a bit of advice.

I'm planning on sailing in the ocean (I'm not really into 'secret spots' with gusty wind and tiny launches), and I've heard the water stays pretty cold all year, should I bring my winter (5/3) suit?

Again, any advice appreciated 'cos I leave in a couple of days!

Saul,

I use a 3/2 wetsuit in the winter because it's what I have, but a 4/3 would be better. If you plan on kiting the coast or crissy field, a 4/3 or 5/3 wold be ideal. Most kiting within the bay is fine with a 3/2 or 4/3 in the winter.

But if you're talking about coming soon (summer not winter!), you'd want a 4/3 for coast/crissy and a shorty for inland/Delta kiting.

Hope this helps.

thanks ollie, guess I'll bring my 4/3 and shorty then...

I guess it can't be that cold 'cos there's no way you'd wear a 3/2 in the winter in the UK!
